Biography

About Alex Martinez

de aquí, para el Valle

Alex Martinez has a bicultural background. He studied in Texas and, in Spanish, in Mexico, and attended a Jesuit school where he learned the importance of education, hard work, integrity, family and faith.

He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio and earned his law degree at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston in 2009. The State Bar of Texas licensed him in April 2010, and he is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Alex has represented clients in local, state and federal courts and on appeal. Today he leads Alex Martinez Law in McAllen, where he handles accident, insurance and immigration cases for clients from Rio Grande City to Brownsville. He practices alongside his father, civil trial lawyer Adrian Martinez.

For years he has given a good part of his time to teaching Valley families about their legal rights and how to avoid fraud, including the notario fraud that targets immigrant families.

Outside the office, Alex reads history books, watches documentaries and spends time outdoors. He hikes and enjoys kiteboarding, triathlons, motocross, skeet shooting and hunting.
